The Pilot Support Scheme
We are looking for innovative applications from maker-manufacturer teams, who aim to create social impact in their surrounding communities. Twenty winning projects (five from each country) will receive up to €20,000 euros, and in the UK 10 smaller €1,000 development awards are available, under our Pilot Support Scheme (PSS).
These commissions are designed to foster collaboration between makers and manufacturers, encourage partnerships that are sustainable and deliver social impact, and prototype innovations including:
- products
- production processes
- supply or value chains
- distribution or ownership
You have a month, from September 18 – October 18 2017 to submit your idea for the PSS project.
All applications must be submitted through our online platform.
We’re looking for applications from across the Mersey Estuary (North Liverpool and Birkenhead) and Salford – other applicants across Europe will be applying to our sister accelerators in Bratislava, Florence/Torino and Bilbao. We will provide support and mentoring to foster collaboration and help achieve social impact.
OpenMaker is also open to those who might not be ready to apply for the PSS. Beyond the specific support provided by the accelerators, all applicants and community members will have access to a digital platform which supports communication and enables relationships between makers, manufacturers and partners in the four hubs, with access for other stakeholders and locations.
